I am not your typical wedding photographer.
I’m here to photograph you, together as you are. Real love, captured honestly and intimately. I want you to feel the warmth, the laughter, the tears, and the love. Those beautiful moments shared when no one (and everyone) else is around. This is your day. These are your photographs. I want your true personalities, your best selves to shine through.
To me, weddings are about emotions, not pretty details. It’s more about the celebration and genuine moments than staged portraits and uncomfortable posing. Years from now, people will only remember how they felt, how much they danced, and how beautiful the vows were. They will remember the happiness overflowing in the room. All you need for an unforgettable day is good music, good food (and drinks!), and good people.
As a photographer, I put my heart and soul into each wedding I photograph. It is my philosophy that the best work is produced when you dedicate all of your energy, heart, and soul. When you hire my company, you are hiring me, with all of my attention and availability, from start to finish. As a result, I don’t book more than one full day wedding a weekend and don’t outsource work to additional associates or editors. I recognize and cherish the importance of this day. I want to be there every step of the way. I want to help you remember this day forever, truthfully, as it happened. Think of me as a fly on the wall, but also your best friend with a camera: getting the scene but also those tiny, intimate moments.
I’m here to capture and celebrate your love with you.
Sound good? Then let’s do this.
How long have you been photographing weddings?
I’ve been a full time wedding photographer for 5 years. From 2013 to 2017, I worked primarily as an associate for Chellise Michael Photography, where I perfected my style and grew my own photographic identity. I’m lucky to have been mentored by two of the best in the business.
Do you travel for weddings? What’s the cost?
Hell yeah! I love to travel. It’s my main passion. Weddings within Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens incur no travel cost. Anything outside will be charged depending on mileage and if I need to book a flight or hotel stay. Generally, upstate NY/Catskill weddings cost an additional $500. Los Angeles or Miami weddings usually cost only an additional $500 as well. If you’re getting married somewhere cool (Sedona? Iceland? Japan?), I’m willing to be more flexible on costs. Don’t ever be afraid to send me an inquiry because of distance!
What’s included in your wedding packages?
My wedding package is straightforward, build your own, based on the amount of hours you need. My rate is $600/hour for digital photography coverage, with additional for travel. Every package includes all of your high-res edited digital photos, in an easy to use downloadable gallery, delivered two months from your date. Full day (8+ hours) wedding packages additionally include 2 rolls of 35mm film, which I shoot on a super fun point-and-shoot camera. Those scans are included in your online gallery. Film can be added on to any package, so let me know! Also, every NYC local couple who books with me is treated to dinner/drinks at your favorite spot in NYC, so we get to know each other before the big day. I’m with you for the majority of your day, so I don’t want to be a stranger!
Do you offer engagement shoots?
Engagement sessions are available to add on for $700, for 1 hour of digital photography. Sessions start in home, and then we wander around your neighborhood for some beautiful portraits.
Do you do albums?
Yes! I offer fine art wedding albums, as well as lower cost (but still beautiful!) hardcover books. I believe your photos are best printed and enjoyed outside of a screen.
Do you photograph anything other than weddings?
I photograph a lot of fashion and lifestyle photography. I work primarily with influencers and brands on their social media content. Check it out here!
What’s your life like outside of weddings?
I freakin’ love to travel and eat all the foods. Seriously. My travel itineraries generally revolve around restaurants. I’m your girl if you’re looking for restaurant recommendations or a great cocktail bar. Outside of traveling and eating, I love spending time with my dog, drinking coffee, and listening to podcasts. Got any good podcast recs? Send them my way!
What’s your dog’s name?
Murphy! He’s always around for pets and cuddles, should you find yourself in Brooklyn.
One more thing… how the heck do you pronounce your last name?
I get this question from literally every single person I meet. It’s pronounced kuh-zell-a-wits. I totally understand if it takes you a few (or a hundred) tries to get it right.
